Here you will find mountain paintings, mostly of the White Mountains but with some Adirondacks and Berkshires thrown in. One of the great sources of pleasure in landscape painting is the sense of imminence--the feeling of standing next to something immeasurably huger, older and grander than you are. Nothing conveys this feeling like a mountain.
